Official Rules of Play

1. HOW TO ENTER:  A ticket may be purchased for $10 each or 3 for $25 from any Board member of the Jackson Symphony Board of Directors or any staff member designed to sell tickets as part of the Jackson Symphony Raffle.  All required fields on the ticket must be completed, and the purchaser must present the ticket stub to claim a prize.  There is no limit on the number of tickets purchased or prizes won by an individual.
2. ELIGIBILITY:  This raffle is open to any living persons, wherever located, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.  Board members of the Jackson Symphony, members of the Raffle Committee, staff, and persons providing prizes or other services are not eligible to enter, nor are members of their household.
3. DRAWING:  Potential prize winners will be selected in a random drawing to be conducted on stage at the Jackson Symphony Orchestra Pops Concert on December 1, 2007.  Prizes will be awarded in decreasing order of market value (e.g., the first ticket drawn will be awarded the prize with the highest market value, the second ticket drawn will be awarded the prize with the second highest market value, etc.).  The odds of winning depend upon the actual number of tickets purchased.  The maximum number of tickets which will be sold is 1000.  The holder of the winning ticket does not need to be present to win.  Potential prize winners not present at the concert will be notified by telephone, during the week of December 3-7, 2007.  If, for any reason, the members of the Jackson Symphony Raffle Committee cannot contact a potential winner at their given telephone number by 5:00 p.m. on December 7, 2007, the prize is forfeited, and an alternate winner will be drawn from all remaining eligible entries.  Prize winners must take possession of the prize by December 14, 2007, or it will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be drawn from all remaining eligible entries.  Alternate winners must take possession of their prize by December 21, 2007, or the prize is forfeited and will be considered a donation to the Jackson Symphony.
4. PRIZES:  Prizes to be awarded include:

First Prize:  Sharp 52 inch Flat Panel High Definition TV, DVD Player, and Home Installation, including Mounting Bracket; Package valued at $4,500

Second Prize:  Ladies 14K Yellow Gold Diamond Fashion Ring with center round brilliant cut diamond weighing approximately .25 carat and eight round brilliant cut diamonds surrounding the center diamond with total weight of approximately .25 carat;  Color I-J; Clarity SI1; Valued at $1,199

Third Prize:  Wine-tasting Dinner for Two (or $150 Gift Certificate) to Erling Jensen’s Restaurant in Memphis, With Limousine Service for Six Hours; Package valued at $845

No equivalent cash prizes will be awarded in lieu of the prizes listed.  The prizes cannot be replaced if lost or stolen, and substitution or transfer of prizes will not be permitted. 

1. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:  By accepting a prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these Official Rules of Play and to comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  All licenses, registrations, federal, state and local taxes are the winners’ sole responsibility.  The winner’s tax information must be provided to the Jackson Symphony Raffle Committee before the prize is awarded.  By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to release and hold harmless the members of the Jackson Symphony Board of Directors and any persons providing prizes or other services to the Jackson Symphony Raffle from any and all damage, injury, death, loss, misfortune or other liability of any kind that may arise from or in connection with his or her acceptance of the prize, possession or use of the prize, or his or her participation in this raffle, or from any misuse or malfunction of any prize awarded.
2. WHO WON:  Following the drawing, the prize winners’ names will be posted on The Jackson Symphony website at www.thejacksonsymphony.org.  To obtain the winners’ names by mail, send a request including a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Jackson Symphony Raffle Committee, 207 Lafayette Street, Jackson, TN 38301.
