Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Generally, whatever you are comfortable in, within the limits of good taste. For outdoor concerts, we encourage you to dress casually. For other classical concerts and pops concerts, most people dress as you might typically dress to attend church. A few events, like the Symphony Ball are more formal - Black Tie is Optional, but encouraged.

Where is handicapped seating?

All facilities are fully accessible to persons with disabilities. Table seating for Pops Concerts at the Civic Center is on the main floor and easily accessible by the elevators located on either side of the main lobby. Seating for all concerts at the Civic Center is also available in front of the first row of seats in the balcony. The balcony entrance is on the main lobby level.

How long will the program last?

Subscription Concerts and the Legend Benefit Concert usually last approximately 2 hours, (plus or minus 15 minutes.) Programs such as the Starlight Symphony and the School Concerts are shorter.

What types of food and beverages can I bring to my pops table?

Anything that you like is ok. The range is from fast food - pizza or a box of chicken - to elaborate dinners. Some patrons prefer to have their tables catered. You may arrange for this yourself. However the caterer must be on the list of approved caterers at the Civic Center. Call them for details. You may bring beverages, to include wine, but please drink responsibly and have a designated driver for the trip home!
